![]() ![]() It just makes the game flow a lot better when you're not wasting so much damn time traveling everywhere. Getting to resource nodes to mine iron, lead, potassium etc takes so much less time. You can clear out a few POIs that are near each other, eat an Eye Candy and get the most out of your looting bonus by speed looting all of the POIs since you can drive between them. You can run multiple jobs for traders in a day. Snow and wasteland hostile animals become much less of a threat when you can just leg it to the bike and escape. Having the motorcycle just makes everything else easier. If I didn't have the larger backpack I would probably prefer the SUV for the extra storage, at least some of the time. Though I do play with a 60 slot backpack mod so YMMV on that. And tbh I prefer the bike to the SUV, it's so much more easy to navigate through twisty city streets, gaps in fences and around wasteland debris. As long as you're not holding down shift to go everywhere, the fuel consumption isn't so bad. ![]() I'd rather have a motorcycle and be a little underpowered in other ways for a bit than be having an easy time fighting zombies but unable to travel more than a few hundred meters and back in a day.Įven if you're far from the desert, with 2 or 3 points in salvage you'll have stacks of fuel from scrapping cars. I will literally sell everything except for food, a few bandages and stone tools if it means I can get a bike sooner. So worth it that if I see the trader has a bike in their shop, I'll desperately search for a wrench and then throw all XP points into salvage so I can scrap everything in sight and sell it to get the bike ASAP.
